Novice High School XC Summer Training (12-Weeks)

Made specifically for high school runners gearing up for the upcoming cross country season. This training plan builds the  foundation needed to have a successful cross country season. With an emphasis on racing in the fall, high school training plans are split into two phases. Phase one (6 weeks) focuses on easy running and getting used to running. The second phase (6 weeks) has one long run and one workout per week. This approach builds a foundation and improves fitness without pushing too hard too early in the season.  The novice summer training plan is built for intermediate runners who are running 30-35 miles per week.
