During my last two years of high school, I had the privilege of training under Cole Campbell for two outdoor track seasons. My junior year, he was my track coach, and my senior year, I followed one of his training plans. When I met Cole, I was a below-average runner, a junior in high school who had never broken five minutes in the mile. Despite this dismal state, Cole saw potential in me that no one else had seen. He told me that with the help of his training, I could break 4:40 in the mile my junior year. Despite the terrible weather we often faced that season, I ran 4:36 in the mile, improving by 25 seconds in one season.   But this was only the beginning of my success under Cole's training. Around December of my senior year, I told Cole I wanted to break my school's record in the mile, which was at that time 4:24. I knew this was a lofty goal, but Cole’s training programs and his approach to running are something special and they take athletes to the next level. Over the winter of my senior year, I followed Cole's training plan diligently. It was complete with morning lifts, hill workouts, and tempos. It even considered things I didn’t think of, like taking strategic down weeks and optimizing the days I weight trained. Every day had a purpose to help me reach my goals. Cole's training was the perfect recipe to get me in shape to take down the coveted school record. After finishing his training plan, it only took one good race for me to break the record with a time of 4:23 at elevation (4:18 converted), and two weeks after that, I ran 4:19 at sea level. These times helped me to receive D1 offers, and I signed with an NCAA D2 school.   No matter the distance, I recommend that anyone looking to level up their running game consider Cole's training programs. As an NCAA athlete, I know his programs are world-class. With his experience in exercise science and exercise physiology, Cole knows the science backed route to success, and his plans/coaching are well worth the investment.
